Following our after holiday opening of our class in Broadoak, i am pleased to say we had just over 10 members standing. This is the first time i have seen this on an opening night! Well done to all those who took part, and i hope you continue to enjoy your training as much as the SA Martial Arts Team!

A whole new set of events have been added to the calendar, and also following your rescent international instructor course, Mr Lewis Early wrote ashort report
Following the 68th and 69th events in Canada and Hong Kong the 70th International Instructors’ Course (IIC) was held in England over the last weekend in January. The 3 day course was attended by 233 students including Mr Stuart Arroyo, Mr David Smith, Mr Richard Hutcheson and Lewis Early.
The course was led by the ITF’s technical committee of Grand Master Marano, Grand Master Bos and Grand Master Lan. With students ranging from Red belts to Masters the sessions gave instruction on patterns, step, traditional and free sparring as well as self defence.
We done to all who attended what was the largest gathering of ITF students and instructors in Europe.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL..... welcome back to training, i hope you have had a fun start. I have just recently updated the calendar. It has all the term dates for the year, events to attend and general great things to come too.

Well done to everyone who recently graded. I hope every one is all ready for a great christmas and new year. Kids and Tigers classes will be finished on Saturday the 17th of December and our final adults class will be Wednesday the 21st of December.

Red belts and above are invited to take part in the International Instructors Course in England this year. This is a great oportunity to learn from the ITF technical comittee and in probably the best Grand Masters in the world.
The IIC will take place in Watford and will be a three day event, on from the 27th till the 29th of January. If you are interested in taking part please get in touch with one of the instructors ASAP
Applications need to be handed back by the 15th of December and places are limited,so don't hesitate! .

The ITF England team has Returned from the European Champs in Bratislava with some success. Silver was won in 2nd dan senior female pattern. Bronze in -80 senior male sparring. Gold for Senior male team power breaking and Silver for senior male team sparring. Congradulations to all who took part, and look forward to seeing you at the selection tournament on the 12th of November.
